:: Nigella's Chocolate Guinness Cake ::

Now I am not going to lie, this cake is almost utter perfection. Moist, utterly rich, tangy and so moreish, one slice is just not enough.

:: Spelt, Kale and Mushroom Risotto ::

This recipe started out intending to be a bit of an experiment that I would work on, leading me to a master recipe- much like my brownies or crumble recipe. However as soon as I had made it, I knew I had made a winning risotto and I just couldn't wait to share.

:: Slow Roast Tomato Soup ::

Until quite recently, the thought of tomato soup was not an appealing one. I am not sure why, but I always visualised Heinz Tomato Soup, that fluro orange colour that still sends shivers down my spine.

:: Ooozing Chocolate Fondants ::

I think Chocolate Fondants could possible one of my favourite puddings. Rich, decadent, insanely satisfying and also bloody simple. I love that moment when you cut in to the pudding and the oozing sauce floods out of the middle. That little glee inside, yes you did it, it worked.

:: The Glorious Twelfth - A Recipe ::

For those of you who don't know what the 'Glorious Twelfth' is, it is the opening of the British game season, with the Red Grouse being the most prized. Having grown up in rural Scotland since I was tiny and been lucky enough to go a few grouse shoots, I have always been taught the huge importance that the Grouse season brings to the local communities and not to see it as a frivolous sport for the rich. It brings a huge amount of money to the local communities from the shooters staying in hotels, eating at the restaurants, creating jobs for the locals as gamekeepers, beaters and loaders.
